Downed Wires Close Route 22 In Branchburg

UPDATE: Route 22 in Branchburg Township was reopened just before 4:35 p.m., police said, adding that crews were still working on Raritan Valley College Drive. Route 22 through Route 28 remained closed for repairs.

A portion of Route 22 was shut down due to downed wires on Monday, August 21.

The highway was closed in both directions near CR 637/Readington Road in Branchburg Township around 12:30 p.m., 511NJ said.

Traffic was being diverted down Route 28 and Readington Road while repairs were being made, according to police.
